POLARIS WORLD SPAIN

Murcia, an ancient city dating back to prehistoric times is located along 253 kms of stunning Mediterranean coastline on the Costa Calida in the South-East of the Iberian Peninsula where Ryan Air is flying directly from Shannon and Dublin into San Javier, in Murcia a two and a half hours flight, -only ten minutes from Polaris Resorts- just 40 mins from Alicante airport which also has direct flights from Dublin and Cork here you also have the option of travelling with Aer Lingus.

The climate of the region of Murcia offers an average temperature of 21 degrees and over 315 days of sunshine.

Three main characteristics define Polaris and set it apart from other developers in Spain: Scale, Quality and Integrity. "We call it the Polaris DNA," explains CEO José Luis Hernández. "Polaris is a revolution in the development of golf-based developments; not just the latest version of an existing concept. Before starting the Polaris World project we examined every aspect of what makes a world class living development with little reference to what existing local companies were providing."

SCALE

Polaris World will encompass seven resorts, one completed and four of which are already in development.

There will be a total of 9 Nicklaus golf courses, five health centres, a hospital, an international school, innumerable shops and restaurants. There will be three Intercontinental Hotels. Polaris Sports is a 525,000 sq metre facility offering football pitches, tennis courts, a multisports centre, swimming pools both indoor and outdoor, a spa and a physiotherapy centre. All facilities have been designed to be suitable for use by professional or international standard sports stars.

Polaris Garden specialises in the acquisition of rare mature plants. Currently over €12m worth await the completion of the various developments. A team of experts travels around the world seeking the finest examples of suitable vegetation of all kinds. Emphasis at all Polaris World resorts and golf courses is on water retention and all landscaping is developed with this in mind.

QUALITY

A guiding principle of Polaris World has been to seek out the greatest experts in their field as collaborators. In the same way that Nicklaus Design was chosen for Golf, so architects such as De Yturbe Arquitectos, FM Arquitectos and Villarroel Arquitectos have developed the individual resorts. Interior designers from London and Madrid have also been employed to create contemporary living spaces - not Spanish clichés. By using a vertically integrated business structure combining an unusual degree of in-house resource with some of Europe's leading suppliers - and of course the buying power of so large an organisation - Polaris World is able to offer high quality homes at affordable prices.

INTEGRITY

"We all know that in the history of Spanish developments there have been some mistakes made," said José Luis Hernández. "It is understandable that some people - especially from outside Spain - approach new developments with care. That is correct and easy to understand. We have taken great care to ensure that not only is the money people give to us safe but that they know that it is safe. We are transparent in all things and all payments are secured against loan guarantees issued by major Spanish banks. We do not issue mortgages or other forms of payment ourselves. Everything is handled by reputable financial institutions."
